Selected Accomplishments:
  • Implemented PeopleSoft eRecruit and eRecruit Manager Desktop modules. Developed the Candidate Gateway and Talent Acquisition Manager intranet site and eLearning modules to educate system users and communicate system information. Developed instructor-led training for employment staff and application support options for managers and employees.
  • Implemented PeopleSoft Position Management. Prior to Position Management, the organization had no way to systematically determine reporting relationships and span of control.
  • Implemented PeopleSoft FMLA module. Developed the FMLA intranet site, and enabled and tracked the online FMLA training.
  • Implemented improvements and additional functionality in several PeopleSoft employee self-service modules: eBenefits, eDevelopment, ePay, eProfile, eRecruit.
  • Implemented the ASPIRE Reward and Recognition System. The system enabled both peer and management recognition. Developed an intranet site to communicate information, details, and frequently asked questions about the R & R program.
  • Implemented an eCommerce website for the North Carolina Baptist Hospital Gift Shop located at www.ncbhgiftshop.com. The website enables consumers to order flowers and gifts for delivery to patents and employees and increased gift shop revenue.
  • Implemented the Employee infiNet Café and the Allegacy Financial Center. The infiNet Café provided employees with a secure, comfortable environment to access online HR and intranet resources. The financial center provided employees and visitors with onsite banking services and patients and visitors with Internet access.
  • Implemented new HR and InfiNet kiosk workstations throughout the Medical Center and doubled the number of kiosks in the HR Lobby. New workstations provided increased functionality and comfort and were accessible for all Medical Center employees. (Previously the kiosks were accessible by hospital staff only.)
  • Outsourced the employment verification process by implementing TALX's The Work Number employment verification solution. This process redesign eliminated related administrative tasks and enabled staff to focus on and provide more value-added services. Developed intranet site to communicate the service and provide additional information and training.
  • Developed an intranet site for Employee Health Services to enable better communication and information access.
  • Implemented Aon Consulting's Loyalty Institute Employee Loyalty Survey. Provided data and technical resources for the implementation. Distributed management survey reports via the organization's secure web reporting system.
  • Ensured all hospital employees had email accounts. This project resulted in the creation of 500+ email accounts for existing employees. It facilitated the successful implementation of new systems that required employee email and enabled more reliable communication with the employee population.
  • Converted employee PeopleSoft self-service IDs to medical center network IDs. Transferred the process of creating network IDs from Information Services to HRIS and HRIS began generating network IDs from new hire data. This process improvement eliminated the need for employees to remember two IDs and passwords and eliminated the need for managers to request network IDs for new employees. Automated the ID termination process to use termination data, again eliminating the need for managers to initiate the ID deactivation process.
  • Became one of the first departments in the medical center to utilize the Microsoft SharePoint technology. Developed several HR SharePoint sites, including:
  • an HR projects site — enabled tracking and collaboration on division projects;
  • an HR Reports and Metrics site — served as a central repository for HR reports and metrics. Ensured that all HR staff referenced the same data and reduced inconsistent information among individuals and groups;
  • an HR Shared Learning site — enabled staff to share information and knowledge acquired from seminars, conferences, etc.
  • Developed new organizational metrics for turnover, new hire turnover, and vacancy; created reports to display monthly performance; and distributed reports to leadership and management via the organization's secure web reporting system.
  • Implemented the medical center digital signage system to enable increased employee communication and broadcast important medical center news.
  • Developed the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center Carpooling Connection website. Website was designed to connect employees wanting to carpool to work; featured on FOX 8 news.
  • Reengineered the internal transfer process. Developed an internal career opportunities website and an online internal transfer form. Enabled employees to view job openings online rather than visit a physical posting board; resulted in a greater volume of internal applicants and more internal hires; streamlined the process for HR staff.
  • Streamlined the employee ID replacement process. Created an online ID replacement form which eliminated the need for employees to come to HR to request a new badge and freed up the HR front desk staff from walk-in replacement ID requests.
  • Restructured the HRIS department to create moresynergy and collaboration among the HR business units and positioned the department to better respond to customers, goals, and initiatives. Created new positions and up-skilled existing staff.

  • Developed the business cases for three PeopleSoft applications: eRecruit Manager Desktop, HR Portal Pak, and PeopleSoft's Enterprise Learning Management System. Presented the cases to the decision-making committee and received approval to purchase all applications. eRecruit Manager Desktop had been rejected twice in previous years.

  • Built a web-based exit interview system and contracted with a third party vendor to conduct the organization's exit interviews using the new system. Included creation of new termination codes to better reflect why employees leave.

  • Developed a New Hire Turnover database and reports. Generated monthly activity and performance reports that were distributed to management on a monthly basis.
  • Began tracking HR key performance indicators using the organization's balanced scorecard system.
  • Implemented the organization's first HR Technology Strategic Plan. Created a decision-making tool to aid HR Leadership in prioritizing needs and analyzing related solutions. Led strategic planning meetings and collaborated with vendors on potential solutions.
